I1 = Moment of Inertia of ring of mass M and radius R about its diameter.

I2 = Moment of Inertia of Disc of mass M and radius R through central axis perpendicular to plane of ring.

I3 = Moment of Inertia of solid cylinder mass M and radius R about its axis.

I4 = Moment of Inertia of solid sphere through its diameter.

(1) $I_1+I_2=I_3+{5\over4}I_4$

(2) $I_1=I_2=I_3<I_4$

(3) $I_1 >I_2=I_3=I_4$

(4) $I_1+I_2=I_3+{2\over5}I_4$

Ans. (1) $I_1+I_2=I_3+{5\over4}I_4$

Sol. $I_1={MR^2\over2}$

$I_2={MR^2\over2}$

$I_3={MR^2\over2}$

$I_4={2\over5}MR^2$
